Yoga means ‘unity’, unity of mind and body. Through these classes we learn to develop and be the witness of our mind and how our body’s health and wellbeing deeply effects our moods and our brains capacities.

Our classes work with the understanding that we are all unique, that we all have our strengths and we all have our weaknesses. Through these classes we are able to work on our weaknesses at a pace that is appropriate for us. Gradually with consistency, patience and understanding, we can work to strengthen both the mind and the body so as to allow ourselves to gain the most from our lives.

On a physical level yoga helps us to increase our core and overall physical strength, flexibility, balance and coordination as well as help us to loose weight and maintain a healthy body. It can also be used more specifically to assist in fixing certain health disorders or injuries. Yoga also works on a mental level, helping us to strengthen and create more flexibility of the mind by allowing us to watch our thoughts (be the witness), with a calm and grounded approach. Yoga is the practice of quieting the mind. ~Patanjali
